  1. it’s rather worrisome when a significant proportion of a population has a hard-on for the end of days, convinced they’re gonna be on the good side of the whole thing, and not realizing they’re being the bad guys by ensuring though their actions or inactions that others will die (but that’s okay because the newly dead will find Jesus just before their last painful breath and go to heaven, saved by us).

    Ugh. This is one of the biggest reasons I walked away from Christianity and theism in general.

    This theory of some fundies seeing COVID-19 as the end of the world has been twirling around in my mind for quite a while. I had a feeling plenty of others were wondering the same thing.
